Timings
08:45 - 9:15 Registration 09:15 - 13:00 Morning Talks There will be three talks in the morning. They will last approximately an hour each and there will be a break after each talk of about ten or fifteen minutes so that you can have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat! The talks are: Imran Shah - Attachment: the value of attachment in your child's early years and in home educating families. Sandra Dodd - The Past, The Future and Now. When thoughts are stuck or whirling, which way can we go? Where can we turn? What helps with natural learning, and what hinders? Can people go too far or not far enough? Is it possible to mess this up? David Waynforth - Children's ability to make healthy, autonomous food choices: a scientific perspective.
13:00 - 13:45 LUNCH - sandwiches provided or you can bring your own
13:45 - 17:30 Afternoon Talks There will be three talks in the afternoon and again they will last about an hour each, with a ten or fifteen minute break after each session for refreshments and chatting! The talks are: Mike Fortune Wood - Children's rights: the government, the agenda and autonomously home educating families. Alan Thomas & Harriet Pattison - What does it mean to learn something without being taught? Autonomous education and literacy learning. Schuyler Waynforth - Shifted Paradigms: the view from this side of the school fence.
